is a 2009 graduate of the Wichita State University doctoral of physical therapy program after studying kinesiology and sports science during a master's program at Wichita State University. She received her Bachelor of Science in sports science from the University of Idaho in 2000. Tara began her physical therapy career in an outpatient physical therapy clinic providing orthopedic, acute care, aquatic therapy, and hippotherapy. She began her mentorship in 2010 under the guidance of two postural restoration therapists and later earned her PRC credential in 2013. The Postural Restoration Institute formed an introductory base which allowed her to advance her clinical skills in neurology, biomechanics, respiration, spine rehabilitation and challenging chronic pain cases at levels unique to Idaho.
Tara is an avid outdoor enthusiast and moved to the small ski resort town of McCall, Idaho and later founded Idaho Physical Rehabilitation and Idaho Performance and Rejuvenation Center with the interest in supporting the active outdoor community. Tara has strived to continue her educational career and provide the most current and revolutionary treatment for her patients. In 2022, Tara continued to expand her interdisciplinary skill set with completion of a fellowship from Applied Integration Academy which further builds on her postural restoration foundation and allows for integration of dentists, optometrists, and podiatrists. She is currently a faculty member for Applied Integrated Academy where she travels to use her skills in assisting the education of other disciplines throughout the nation.
Through IPR and IPRC, Tara has created health programs which further integrate medical exercise specialists, nutritionists, functional medicine practitioners, and Pilates instructors to allow her patients to continue to strive toward their goals beyond the physical therapy program.
